My SelfCare Check-in

Today is my self-care check-in. It is the day i am accountable for sharing with another woman about my well-being. It's authentically sharing where i am in my healing. It's not about my journey, it's about letting someone who genuinely cares about me know my current mental health well being. There is no judging. I simply have a safe place to communicate where i am and what i am doing to get what i need. No this is not the "dump on" but rather the sister touchpoint that allows me NOT to be silent or do it alone. It is how i'm doing and keep it movin'.

It's easy to vent, dump it and leave without a plan of action. That's not fair to you or the person you unload on. Yes, i agree there is a time AND person for that type of conversation, but this self-care check-in is NOT it. This person is someone who has agreed to support my healing plan as a listener and encourager; not the fixer, dump pile or the clean-up person. My action plan has the resources i can use for that.

While reading an article about psychological distress, major depression, and suicidal ideation among Americans aged 12 to 25 after 2011 (
a new study published in the Journal of Abnormal Psychology), it elicited an uneasiness that i am not at all comfortable with. TODAY, i remind my beautiful sisterhood, do NOT be silent about taking positive action for your mental health self-care. You have a voice and do not have to go through alone.

TODAY, i choose to let others know that i am #healing well. In #THEMEETING this morning GOD SAYS, "I LOVE those who love ME, and those who seek ME diligently will find ME. #IAM with you always...LOVE ONE ANOTHER, just as I HAVE LOVED you...I REJOICE (CELEBRATE) over you with singing!

πŸ“–Proverbs 8:17
πŸ“–Matthew 28:20b
πŸ“–John 13:34
πŸ“–Zephaniah 3:17

So i WILL BLESS (BARAK) THE LORD at all times; HIS PRAISE shall continually be in my mouth. πŸ™‡πŸΏ‍♀️πŸ™ŒπŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ—£

#THEMEETING is early morning Time Alone With GOD when you listen to HIM for the guidance and instructions for your day.  It is the meeting BEFORE the start of your day. πŸ“–Luke 21:38

BARAK means "to kneel down, to bless GOD as an act of adoration, to salute." FOR GOD ALONE IS WORTHY!!!
