LOVE's Work In Our 3-6-5
Ease For "THIS" Moment
MY PRACTICE: Inhale Love • Exhale Grief • Rest in GOD
Scripture: "And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope." — 1 Thessalonians 4:13
Some mornings arrive softly. Others arrive carrying the weight of love.
Today is one of those days.
A dear friend reminded me that there are holy things we do when someone we love is called home to the Lord. There are arrangements to make, decisions to consider, stories to remember, tears to shed, and moments to share with those who are grieving alongside us.
These are not simply tasks to complete. They are acts of love.
As I reflected on the life of a beloved husband, father, friend, and follower of Jesus, I was reminded that grief is the price of loving deeply. Yet for those whose hope is in Christ, grief is never the end of the story.
Love never fails. Love never gives up. Love never runs out.
The same God who lovingly carried His child home now lovingly walks beside those who remain. The same Savior who welcomed him into eternal wholeness now surrounds his family with comfort, strength, and peace.
Today, I am reminded that we do not grieve without hope. We grieve because we love. We hope because God loves us first.
So today, I will allow myself to feel both.
I will inhale love for the gift of a life well lived.
I will exhale grief for what is no longer.
And I will rest in GOD, trusting that His love is holding us all.
May we be holy in these moments, allowing God's presence to meet us in every tear, every memory, and every step toward healing.
